Sometime in the 1930s–1950s, Hooper Street friends gathered for photos to document their presence and camaraderie, within the confidence and protection of their Hooper Street community, during the daily uncertainties of the Jim Crow era (photos courtesy of Mrs. Carnella Sloan Mitchell Robinson, who lived her first 11 years on Hooper and has shared historic photos from her mother’s inheritance album).

Stained Glass Window. When Antioch East Baptist Church relocated to Ellenwood GA in 2019, they gave three of the Edgewood Sanctuary’s windows to their Old Stone Church in Candler Park—in fellowship with the First Existentialist Congregation, now stewards of the building and history partners (photo by Edith Kelman).
